To Our Friends and Neighbors,

Back in 1989, my wife and I opened the Lakeside Cafe in the old Zim's location. It was our hope to bring to the neighborhood a family restaurant. So, in true Greek fashion, we put our kids to work. Billy, Nicki and Kosta all joined the family business. With time, the restaurant expanded. And so did our family. Our staff, many of whom have been with us since the beginning, became part of our family and have helped make the Lakeside the warm and inviting place we hoped it would be. From the kitchen staff, servers and hostesses to the buss staff and dish staff, all have worked hard to make the Lakeside Cafe a success. We are grateful for their efforts and their care throughout these years.

As we celebrate our 22nd anniversary, we would like to thank the rest of our family - you, our guests. We have known some of you since we first hung the 'open' sign some two decades ago. Many of you have made the Lakeside Cafe a daily stop. It is a pleasure to serve all of you, as you have made it a pleasure to come to work every day. For those of you who may have just discovered us, we look forward to getting to know you and to your joining our family here at the Lakeside Cafe.
